General Information On Zyvox Solution
Zyvox Solution is a prescription drug used for treating serious bacterial infections including pneumonia, skin infections, and other types of infections that are resistant to antibiotics. Zyvox Solution is known by its generic name Linezolid and belongs to a class of drugs known as Oxazolidinone antibiotics.
The active ingredient of Zyvox Solution is Linezolid, and it works by inhibiting the natural production of a certain type of protein that the bacteria need to reproduce and multiply. This in turn reduces the ability of the bacteria to grow and spread in the body and thereby stops the bacterial infection. Zyvox Solution is available in tablet, liquid suspension (administered orally), and IV (intravenous injection) form.
