General Information on Prednisolone
Prednisolone is used for treating different conditions including skin conditions, allergic disorders, psoriasis, breathing disorders, lupus, arthritis, or ulcerative colitis. Its generic name is also Prednisolone, and it belongs to the class of steroids.
Prednisolone is available in the form of oral tablets. It works by stopping the release inflammation causing chemicals in the body.

Dosage of Prednisolone
The recommended dosage may range from Prednisolone 5mg to 60mg, depending on the patient’s medical condition, his or her response to treatment, and other medical conditions he or she is suffering from.
Interactions
Some of the drugs that may interact with Prednisolone include NSAIDs (such as ibuprofen or indomethacin), diuretics (such as furosemide or hydrochlorothiazide), quinolone antibiotics (such as levofloxacin or ciprofloxacin), anti-platelet medicines (such as clopidogrel) or blood thinners (such as warfarin).
Azole antifungals, rifamycin, macrolide antibiotics and drugs for treating seizures can also change the way Prednisolone works to treat your condition.
