General Information on Nasarel
Nasarel is a steroidal medication give for the treatment of certain nasal symptoms, such as sneezing, nasal congestion and runny nose. The generic name for Nasarel is flunisolide nasal.
Nasarel works by preventing the release and action of certain chemicals that trigger inflammations in the nose. It is used for the treatment of nasal symptoms caused by general allergies as well as seasonal allergies.

Side effects of Nasarel
You must not buy Nasarel if you have previously suffered an allergy to flunisolide or if you suffer from an untreated infection in the sinuses or nose. Signs of an allergy caused by Nasarel would include breathing problems, appearance of hives and a swollen face or throat. You must inform your doctor beforehand if you suffer from tuberculosis, ulcers and sores in the nose or a herpes simplex viral infection in the eyes. The occurrence of these conditions may increase the risk of adverse side effect to Nasarel. You must also not take Nasarel if you have just undergone a nose surgery or if you suffered an injury on your nose.
Nasarel is a steroidal medicine, and hence can affect the growth of children. If you are administering Nasarel to a child and you notice an abnormal growth rate, you must talk to your doctor about it. Nasarel also increases the risk of catching a contagious disease. You must avoid getting such infections or staying near people who have contagious diseases.
Severe side effects to Nasarel include severe nosebleed, tiredness, weakness, nausea and sores in the nose that are not healing.
Dosage of Nasarel
You must buy and take Nasarel as per the dosage prescribed for you. A larger dosage must not be sprayed and the medication must not be continued for a time longer than what has been prescribed for you. You may read and follow the prescription label to take the right dosage.
Nasarel also has a patients’ instructions label that contains instructions for the safe use and administration of this nasal spray. The usual recommended dosage of Nasarel for adults is 2 sprays in each nostril, repeated twice or thrice in a day. Your doctor may prescribe a different dosage to suit your own medical condition. Nevertheless, the daily dosage is not recommended to exceed 8 sprays in each nostril.
For children, the usual dosage of Nasarel is 1 spray in each nostril, which is repeated twice or thrice a day. Alternatively, it could also be 2 sprays in each nostril, twice a day. Once again, you must follow the doctor’s orders if your doctor has prescribed a different dosage. The maximum dosage that children are recommended to receive per day is 4 sprays in each nostril.
The effects of Nasarel may not be seen for several days, so you must continue taking this medication as per your prescription, even if there is no effect noticed. However, you must tell your doctor if you find no difference even after 3 weeks of administering Nasarel.
