Description of Loxitane
Loxitane is used to treat certain mental and mood disorders such as schizophrenia. The generic name of the drug is Loxapine.
You can only buy Loxitane only as per a prescription from your doctor. Read the instructions carefully before using the drug. The recommended dosage of the medicine in adults is 20mg to 50mg per day given in two to four doses. The doctor may increase the dosage if necessary. The dosage in children under the age of 12 years must be decided by the doctor. You must take Loxitane at the same time every day. You will find improvement in symptoms within few weeks of taking the medicine. The symptoms will more completely subside only after a few months. You must not start, stop or change the dosage without consulting the doctor. Don’t take Loxitane in excess or for a longer time than prescribed by the doctor. - Inability to move the eyes
- Constipation
- Difficulty in urination

- Muscle stiffness
- yellowing of skin and eyes
- Unusual bleeding and bruising
