Other ingredients present in the pills include corn starch, calcium carbonate, ferric oxide, glycerin, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, montanglycol wax, polyethylene glycol, povidone, pregelatinized starch, sucrose, titanium oxide and talc. Do not use this drug if you have an allergy to any of these ingredients.
Indications & Dosage of Levlite
Levlite is an oral contraceptive used by women to prevent pregnancy. The medicine works by preventing ovulation, so that egg is not released from the ovary. It also makes changes in your uterine lining and cervical mucus, so that sperm does not reach your uterus and fertilized egg does not get attached to your uterus. All these conditions make it harder for a pregnancy to occur.
Levlite 28 tablet pack contains 21 hormonal pills and 7 inert pills. Each hormonal pill contains 0.020mg Ethinyl Estradiol and 0.100mg Levonorgestrel. You will have to take one tablet each day, preferably at the same time each day. Your menstrual periods are supposed to start during the week you are taking 7 inert pills. Start a new pack on the very next day your old pack finishes off.
