General Information On Hydergine
An ergot alkaloid, Hydergine is used to treat symptoms of memory, mood, and behavior problems in older patients who show symptoms of dementia related to aging or related to other conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease. Patients must understand that this drug is not a cure for dementia or for an underlying disease that is causing a decline in a person’s mental capacity. This drug only helps boost mental and self-care function.
Side Effects for Hydergine

Hydergine Dosage

Interactions
This drug may interact with certain medicines. You must consult your doctor or your pharmacist before using Hydergine if you take the following medicines: azole antifungals (such as itraconazole, ketoconazole, voriconazole etc.), macrolide antibiotics (troleandomycin, erythromycin, clarithromycin etc.), efavirenz, delavirdine, protease inhibitors (such as indinavir, saquinavir, ritonavir, amprenavir, nelfinavir etc.), telithromycin, or sibutramine. In addition to the above, this drug may also interact with certain other drugs. This is why it is essential that you tell your doctor about all the prescription-based, non-prescription, and herbal medications that you are taking in order to avoid any complications.
