Description of Gonal F
Gonal F is a medication with the generic name Follitropin Alfa. It is a synthetic version of human follicle stimulating hormone which is identical to natural sex hormone that exists in the human body. The FSH is prepared via the recombinant DNA origin method. Gonal F is available in the form of a sterile powder intended for subcutaneous injection after reconstitution. The drug is a prescription medication; you need to consult your doctor before you buy Gonal F online.
Indications & Dosage of Gonal F
Gonal F is indicated in the treatment of infertility in men and women. It is specifically used to increase the production of eggs in women and stimulate sperm production in men. Gonal F is also used to treat women who intend to get pregnant using the IVF method or have a severe deficiency of FSH and LH.
Follitropin Alfa, the active ingredient in the medication, works similarly to its natural counterpart. In women, FSH stimulates the development of follicles and eggs and helps in overcoming problems in ovulation. It also increases the production of estrogen that helps in the development of ovaries and follicles. In men, FSH stimulates the development and production of sperms in testicles. It also increases the production of testosterone in men, which helps in solving infertility problems in men.
Your doctor will give you specific instructions regarding the dosage. The dosage is determined after studying the results of gynecologic and endocrinologic evaluation. The Gonal F injection is administered into the skin of upper arm, upper leg or stomach. You are required to learn the right method of injecting the medication in the body.
