General Information on Dulera
Dulera is indicated for controlling the symptoms of asthma in adults and children over 12 years. The generic name of this drug is Formoterol and Mometasone, derived from the names of the two active ingredients present in this drug.
A long-acting beta₂-agonist, formoterol improves breathing by relaxing the muscles in the airways. The other active ingredient in the preparation, Mometasone, is classified as a steroid. It works by preventing the release of chemicals that cause inflammation.
Dulera is not meant to treat a bronchospasm or asthma attack. It is recommended only as a maintenance treatment for asthma. In addition to the two active ingredients, Dulera also contains the following excipients: anhydrous alcohol, hydrofluoroalkane, and oleic acid.

An allergic reaction to Dulera may lead to facial flushing, hives, and difficulty breathing or swallowing.
