This medicine belongs to the category of SSNRIs or selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors drugs. This medicine is an antidepressant. Cymbalta works by affecting certain chemicals in the brain. These chemicals, if unbalanced, may cause depression. This medicine is used for treating major depressive disorders. Cymbalta Side Effects And Precautions
You should not use this drug if you use MAOI or monoamine oxidase inhibitor. There should be minimum 14 days gap between duloxetine and MAOI drug use. You should wait minimum 5 days after stopping to take this generic drug before starting to take an MAOI. This drug may cause suicidal thoughts in some patients. This side effect is more evident in patients below the age of 24. If you experience any such thoughts, then you should consult your doctor immediately.
