General Information on BritLofex
BritLofex is a medication with the generic name lofexidine hydrochloride. You can buy BritLofex for the management and treatment of opiate withdrawal symptoms. People who are undergoing detoxification from opiates like heroin would commonly experience withdrawal symptoms such as those given below:
- Chills
- Stomach cramps
- Diarrhea
- Vomiting
- Runny nose
- Muscle twitching or cramps
BritLofex affects a certain group of chemicals in the body known as alpha-2 receptors, which are found in the brain, gut, blood vessels and other tissues and organs. When the drug effects these receptors, the body’s level of noradrenalin is lowered, resulting in reduced hyperactivity and control over the withdrawal symptoms.
BritLofex is taken as part of detoxification treatment to stop addicts from taking opiates and craving them. It would be prescribed for you by a doctor based on your medical condition.
Side Effects of BritLofex
The most common side effect associated with BritLofex is drowsiness. While the occurrence of this side effect does not require you to stop taking BritLofex, you must be careful while doing anything that requires concentration and a high state of alertness. Your pulse rate would have to be checked regularly in order to check for any extreme side effects.
You must not stop your usage of BritLofex abruptly. By doing so, you would be increasing the risk of suffering from high blood pressure. The dosage would gradually be reduced over a period of several days or weeks, and this reduction would be determined only by your doctor.

The above side effects are rare and subside on their own in most cases. However, you must inform your doctor if the above side effects worsen or continue for a long period of time, or if you notice any unusual side effects not mentioned above.
You must not buy BritLofex if you have previously suffered from an allergic reaction to imidazole drugs, like ketoconazole. An allergic reaction can be recognized by its symptoms, which include the occurrence of hives, swollen throat or face, and breathing difficulties.
