Aptivus Information
Aptivus is referred to as a non-peptide protease inhibitor. It is used as a combinational therapy with other anti-retroviral drugs. It is used in combination with a drug called ritonavir. It is used for the treatment of patients who have HIV-1 infection. Generic medication is effectively used in those patients who are infected with the strains of HIV-1 that has become resistant to one or more protease inhibitors. Aptivus Side Effects and Precautions

Dosage Information For Aptivus
The recommended dose of Aptivus in adult patients is 500 mg or 2 capsules of 250 mg each. It is also equivalent to 5 mL of oral solution. This is co-administered along with ritonavir (200 mg), two times a day. In pediatric patients (2-18 years of age), the dose is determined on the basis of the body weight or on the basis of the BSA (body surface area).
