Q: What is the AffordableHealthCare?

AD: AffordableHealthCare is a discount health benefit program, designed to meet the needs of those individuals who are either uninsured or under-insured. This non-insurance discount health benefit program helps members save money, whether they are an individual or a family, or an employer group or association. Health benefits include Dental, Vision , Medical (Galaxy and Beechstreet Physician Network), Hospital (Galaxy and Beechstreet Hospitals), Pharmacy , Chiropractic Alternative Medicine, Nurse Hotline, Counseling, Hearing, VIP Health & Wellness , Ask Anything.

Q: How does the AffordableHealthCare program work?

AD: There is nothing simpler than AffordableHealthCare plan. Once you enroll, you will receive a Membership Kit within 10 to 14 business days after the initial enrollment date. The packet will include a Membership Kit, a list of your our local Health Service Providers, and Membership Cards for you and your family members. You can start using your cards immediately. At the time of your office visit to one of the enlisted providers, just present your membership card and your savings will be instantly deducted from your bill. There are no claim forms to fill out, just instant savings on your entire healthcare needs.

Q: Is AffordableHealthCare an insurance program?

AD: AffordableHealthCare is not an insurance program. AffordableHealthCare is a health benefit provider that offers significant discounts on health and medical services to its members. There are absolutely no selection criteria. Enrollment does not require medical histories, physicals, underwriting, waiting periods, or usage limits. Membership also includes immediate family members (legal dependants) at no cost.

Q: If I am already enrolled in Medicare or an insurance program, can I be enrolled in AffordableHealthCare program?

AD: Typical insurance or Medicare often does not cover certain services such as dental, pharmacy and vision. AffordableHealthCare can be and is often used in addition to Medicare or other insurance programs, providing benefits that are excluded from the packages. As we do not impose any restrictions for age or pre-existing medical conditions, this plan can be used by anyone who would like to save money on their health related costs.

Q: How do I get the AffordableHealthCare discounts?

AD: After you have received your AffordableHealthCare membership card, simply present it to the participating provider. Your card identifies you as a network member, and you automatically receive the discounts that have been negotiated for you.

AD: AffordableHealthCare program provides an immediate reimbursement on services and products. The discount will be immediately applied to your bill. You never need to fill out any additional forms or wait for reimbursement.

Q: How much do I pay in co-payments?

AD: There are no co-payments since AffordableHealthCare program is not an insurance plan. You receive the savings benefits from the health care provider at the time of service.

AD: In order to provide an affordable quality service, AffordableHealthCare attempts to decrease its cost in providing you a service. That is why, we have eliminated the expense of direct billing and we provide our members with an automated billing service.

Q: Do AffordableHealthCare cover dental care?

AD: Yes. AffordableHealthCare program covers routine dental care such as general dental examinations, cleaning and fillings as well as specialty care such as orthodontics and periodontics where available. Members generally save on average of 28% to 50% on dental services in more than 53,000 dental practice locations. There are no restrictions on how often you visit your dental care provider.

Our network provider, The Coast to Coast (CTC) Vision Plan encompasses more than 12,500 eye care locations nationwide. These include ophthalmologists, optometrists, independent optical centers and national chain locations such as Pearle Vision, JCPenney Optical, Sears Optical, Target Optical, LensCrafters, and Eyemasters.

Q: How much can I save on prescription drugs?

AD: For long term prescriptions, members can benefit from maximum savings by ordering form our Canadian mail order pharmacy. AffordableDrugs allows members to save from 35% to 80% on more than 2000 brand name and generic medications. A team of physicians and pharmacists fill out your prescriptions in the safest and most efficient way. The medications are delivered at your doorstep within only 14 days. Members can also save 10% to 50% in their neighborhood pharmacy, on most short term, acute, care prescriptions such as antibiotics and painkillers. The program includes over 40,000 national and regional pharmacy chains as well as independent pharmacies. It's simple to use. The member presents the membership card to the pharmacist with the prescription. The pharmacist calculates the discount and the member pays the discounted price. No other forms are required.

AD: Yes, AffordableHealthCare provides its members with alternative medicine as well as chiropractic services. Q: Can I cancel my enrollment in the plan at any time?

AD: Yes, all you have to do is contact a Customer Care Expert at 1 800 721 0314 to cancel your plan at any time. Enrollment in the plan will then expire at the end of the month in which the cancellation occurs.
