Vesicare (solifenacin) is a muscarinic receptor antagonist. It belongs to a class of medicines known as antispasmodics.

Vesicare interactions

You must discuss with your doctor, if you are taking any other medicine before starting with this medication. It is also very important not to start taking Vesicare, if you are using pramlintide and any other potassium tablet or capsules, or other medicines like atropine, antihistamines and scopolamine. It can also have an adverse reaction, if you are taking other antispasmodics like dicyclomine, erythromycin and rifabutin, apart from some anti-seizure medicines.

Vesicare side effects

People using Vesicare may suffer from various side effects, including dry mouth, constipation, stomach pain and blurred vision or dry eyes. Other side effects of Vesicare include tiredness or weakness in the body. If a patient’s condition is worsening, he should immediately contact his doctor.       

Vesicare side effects may also include severe pain in stomach, fever, body ache, sore throat, burning sensation while urinating, decreased urination and kidney infection.
