What is Tresaderm?

Tresaderm ear drops (Merial) is a dermatologic solution that is used in pets in order to help treat some acute or chronic bacterial, inflammatory and fungal skin disorders. It may also be used to treat ear inflammation (otitis externa). Tresaderm for pets may not be obtained without a prescription from a licensed veterinarian. You can expect results to show within a week of administering the first dosage of this medicine, which successfully treats inflamed skin and ears and fights any bacterial infections of the ears and skin. Best of all, Tresaderm for dogs is also approved for usage in cats. Tresaderm solution contains dexamethasone, neomycin sulfate and thiabendazole in it. Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid and acts as a potent anti-inflammatory. Neomycin sulfate is an aminoglycosides antibiotic and kills bacteria. Thiabendazole is a parasiticide and a fungicide which are designed to kill or at least inhibit parasites and fungi.

Clean the affected area prior to administering the drops. Usage and application of Tresaderm should not exceed a period of one week. Do not use in the eyes.
