What is Muro 128?

Muro 128 is a hyper tonic solution of sodium chloride which helps in treatment of a swollen cornea of the eye.


What is Muro 128 used for?

Muro 128 is used to treat the swellings of the cornea of the eye. It helps in clearing out rings around pointed light sources and improve visibility.


How does Muro 128 work?

Muro 128 works by drawing out water from the swollen cornea.


How to use Muro 128

Muro 128 should be used exactly as prescribed by a doctor. Taking the medicine for longer period or in larger amount than prescribed can be harmful.

Muro 128 can be used in either as an ointment or eye drops.

To use Muro 128 as an ointment pull the lower eyelid away from your eye to form a pouch using well washed hands. Squeeze a thin strip of ointment into the pouch. After using the medicine, close your eyes for 1 to 2 minutes. Wash your hands to remove any medicine that may be on them. Wipe the applicator tip with a clean, dry tissue. You should make it a point to keep the container tightly closed and not touch the applicator to prevent contamination of your medicine.

In order to use Muro 128 as an eye drop, pull the lower eyelid away from your eye to form a pouch using well washed hands. Drop the medicine into the pouch. After using the medicine, close your eyes for 1 to 2 minutes. You should make it a point to keep the container tightly closed and not touch the applicator to prevent contamination of your medicine.

Do not increase the dose or stop taking the medicine unless directed by your doctor.


Muro 128 warnings and precautions

Before using Muro 128, tell your doctor if you suffer from any allergies. The medicine may cause temporary blurred vision. Avoid doing any alert or exhaustive activites while taking this medicine.

Do not swallow this medicine as there can be serious consequences. Contact a local   poison care centre or an emergency ward of a hospital in such circumstance.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding situations should be discussed with your doctor before using this medicine.


What do I do if I have missed a Muro 128 dose?

If you have missed a Muro 128 dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue the routine. Do not double the dose.


What do I do if I have taken a Muro 128 overdose?

If you have taken an overdose of Muro 128, consult your doctor.


Muro 128 interactions

There are some medicines which may react with Muro 128, however no such specifications are available. It is still advisable not to use any medication without consultation with a physician.


Muro 128 side effects

Side effects from Muro 128 include rash, tightness in the chest, swelling of facial organs. Changes in vision, continued redness, burning, or irritation; eye pain or feeling that something is in the eye may also be experienced. In such circumstances it is always advisable to stop taking the medicine and consult your doctor immediately.

Mild burning sensation or irritation is a more common side effect of Muro 128.
