Ovcon (norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol) is a combination of two hormones – a progestin and an estrogen. It is a contraception that prevents ovulation process.

How to use Femcon FE

Follow your doctor’s instructions wisely. Do not take the medicine for longer period or in larger amount than recommended.

If you are using the medicine for the first time and are not switching from another form of hormonal birth control treatment, it is suggested that you take the first tablet on the first day of your periods or the first Sunday following the beginning of your menstrual cycle. The medicine is to be taken by mouth, once daily, for a full prescription time. If you experience upset stomach or nausea after taking the medication, it is advised that you take with the evening meal or at bedtime. Remember to take Ovcon pills at the same time each day.

The Ovcon pack contains 21 active pills and 7 reminder pills with no medication. The active pills are to be taken daily for 21 days in a row. However, the reminder pills are to be taken for 7 days (consecutively), following the day you had taken the last active pill.
